Yarn Design and Visualization

/ / /
To broaden my horizon of knitting, I tried to make some my own yarns from some material usually not used in garment field.

I created 20 kinds of new yarns and knitted them into small samples by hand. To visualize them, I also painted the effect drawing separately.

↑ Keep threading yarns into golden sequins
↑ Burn grey shoelace of trainers on the particular side
↑ Tied up right in the middle of fluffy ball with green viscose warn and a pearl
↑ I cut TPU fabric into stripes. Make holes on those stripes with punchers one by one. Then, add snap fasteners through those holes.
↑ Wrap rubber with black tapes. Then connect those rubbers.
↑ Wrap long-feathered yarn with preservative film
↑ Cut off some part from leather strap
↑ Stick shiny fabric to the black one. Then cut it into long stripe. Finally thread a fluffy yarn through the strip from the front to the behind then vice versa.

↑ Make pipe by organza. Then fill wool into the pipe.
↑ Cut organza into stripes. Then fold it into pleat and fix with iron.
↑ Draw some golden lines on the storage tape. Then knit with it.
↑ Make zigzag stitches onto TPU stripes
↑ Thread three different yarns into the same sequin
↑ Put one green yarn inside a double-layer tape. Cut the tape part (not cutting the green thread) from both side tightly.
↑ Wrap paper tape onto black long-feathered yarn
↑ Cut rubber rings off and then connect them one by one.
↑ Tied up in the middle of organza stripe
↑ Make yarn from plastic bag and styrofoam.
↑ Make yarn from Tyvek and glue.
